Amazing Race blog post 7-Final Destination
This is my last chance to find the rare species of monkey I am looking for luckily I have failed to loose hope. Though my chances may seem thin with the progress I have made throughout my travels I am hoping I will find the monkey in Madagascar. I am going to Turtle Bay. Madagascar is known for its large lemur population and was also mainly noticed by kids when the animated movie came out and is important because like Brazil it has many species that cannot be found any other place in the world meaning we have to protect them and their homes so that the animals don't go extinct. Earlier this week I bought my plane ticket which cost about $1,130 and took the first 1 way trip to Madagascar. I was excited because I have always wanted to visit Madagascar but I also couldn't wait to get this trip over with and go home. Traveling the world in just a few weeks is a lot of work unpacking and repacking over and over. I am visiting turtle bay in Obesalampy. Madagascar is a popular tourist population because of it one season climate and strange species of animals. Madagascar's capital is Antananarivo and is surrounded by 2 bodies of water the Atlantic and Indian Ocean and Madagascar is not surrounded by any country's. Madagascar is Mountainous in places but is mostly flat with a very healthy vegetation. Turtle bays coordinates are 40°45′19″N 73°58′03″W / 40.75536°N 73.967412°W. Today I went to the sandy shores of Turtle bay surrounded by lots of rain forests like the rest of Madagascar. I scanned the trees seeing lemurs every where I looked swinging from tree to tree. Among these lemurs was few monkeys one monkey being mine. When I saw this monkey a rush of excitement and pride overcame me. I captured it with out trouble. Few days later after taking a few photos and wrote down a few things I released him back into the wild. I took my last look at the rain forests of Madagascar out of the plane window and saw one one of my monkeys swing threw the trees and dissapear deep in to the forest. I was going home.

Amazing Race blog post 6
Next I am visiting one of the largest Tropical bay's in South America it is called the Todos Os Santos Bay I flew in only this morning after buying a $1,754 plane ticket. This bay is in the country of Brazil and the state of Bahia. Brazil contains one of the largest rainforest's in the world called the Amazon covering over 80 percent of Brazil. Brazil is surrounded by the following countries Argentina, Bolivia, Paraguay, Uruguay, French Guiana, Suriname, Venezuela, Peru, Guyana, and Colombia. One Body of water borders Brazil and it is the Atlantic Ocean. The capital of Brazil is Brasilia and it has a one season tropical climate. Brazils independence day is September 7th 1822 when the declared indenpendence Portugal. Brazil is known for their rainforest's which contains between 20 and 40 million different species of animals a vast majority being insects. The millions of species of amazing creatures and tropical climate make Brazil a popular tourist destination. This location is most important because of its rainforest and as rainforest's are being destroyed so is the creatures homes living in the rainforest meaning the species of animals will be becoming more scarce as more and more of the rainforest is destroyed and this is the biggest one left in the world which makes it most important. Brazil is mostly flat with few mountains. Todos os Santos coordinates are 12°53'43"S 38°28'28"W. The only difference between here and South Australia is that here there are less city's and more forests. At mid-day I set out to Todos Os Santos to find my monkey, After hours of searching I reconized a small brown monkey sitting apon a tree near the beach surrounding Todos Os Santos it was squirrel monkey which was not what I was looking for to my dissapointment but I found my discovery reasuring because this was the closest I had got to finding the monkey I was looking for. And in less than a week I would be traveling to my last destination Madagascar home to the largest monkey population in the world where I was sure I would find the monkey I wanted.

Amazing Race blog post 5
I still am sad to announce that I have not tracked done the monkey I am looking for. My last trip to the bay of Kotor and I am now moving on to Arno Bay in Australia. I bought a 1 way plane ticket a few days ago and left last night only to arrive it seemed like forever later. Arno bay is in South Australia which is very flat and has a tropical one season climate its GPS coordinates are 33°55′S 136°35′E - 33.917°S 136.583°E. Australia is a country and also a continent and is surrounded by the Indian ocean its capital is Canberra. Australia has lots of beach's and is famous for its landscapes and is a popular tourist attraction. Australia is important because of its many monuments and major business's. I feel a little disappointed about my progress over this trip but I have had lots of fun on my race around the world site seeing and buying sulvineers. While I am staying here in Australia I have wanted to see a couple things that I have only dreamed of seeing. Which is a Kangaroo and a platypus but I am sure I will. So I have still not found my monkey but need not worry I am still visiting a couple more places.

Today I am going to my third destination in search of the monkey which I am still disappointed to say I have not found. I am going to Montenegro to the bay of Kotor. Montenegro is a small mountainous country surrounded by Albania, Serbia,Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Croatia. Montenegro is bordered by 1 body of water other than the bay of Kotor which is the Adriatic sea. The capital of Montenegro is Podgorica. The bay of Kotor is off the coast of Slovenia which is a state within Montenegro its GPS coordinates are 42° 30' 0 N, 19° 18' 0 E. Slovenia has a four season climate and is most famous for it monuments. Slovenia has many coniferous, beech, and oak trees and is important because of its aluminum and steel industry's. So a few days ago I bought a plane ticket to go to Montenegro and rented a car to drive to a hotel near the bay of Kotor which I put all on my credit card [:) couldn't find the price]. I think the biggest difference between here and my last location is that here people speak many different languages and in Ontario they mostly speak French or English.

Amazing Race blog post 3
I am in Canada pecifically Georgian bay. I purchased a one way plaine ticket to Ontario for $320 then I took a plaine from Portland, Maine when I was visiting Casco and landed in Ontario in the afternoon I then drove to the coast of Ontario and found Georgian bay. Canada is bordered by North America and the Atlantic and Pacific Ocean. Like Maine Ontario has a four season climate and is very mountainous and has lots of pine trees. The coordinates of georgian bay are 45 degrees 30' North and 81 degrees 00' West according to my Atlas which I used when I was driving to the coast of Ontario. Canada is known for its beautiful and unspoiled landscapes. In the past Ontario has been known for there excelent mining finding lots of gold, cobalt, platinum, and silver. Anyways I did see the monkey I was looking for or so I had thought at first but I came to find to my dissapointment that it was not it was not even a monkey but a cat stuck in a tree. It may sound like I am blind for mistaking a cat for a monkey but from a distance it looked like a monkey its brown fur and long tail but my journey is not over yet it has only just begun.

I am going to the United States to visit Casco bay. The United States is bordered by Canada and Mexico and its capital is Washington DC but I am going to Maine which is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean and its coordinates are 43 degrees 39.4' North and 70 degrees 14.8' West. Maine has a 4 season climate and is very mountainous and has many pine trees. It is known for its logging, lobsters, and blueberrys. So far I haven't caught sight of the type of monkey I am looking for but I am hoping to have better luck in Ontario when I travel to the Georgian bay. I can't wait to see the beautiful Georgian bay I heard it is one of the most beauiful places in Canada I recently bought my ticket and will be leaving in a couple of days and I also have been keeping touch with my family and have been keeping them updated on my progress with finding the monkey.
